KJDF Zoe 49Z sired by S A V Final Answer 0035 with her dam J E M Miss Lark 23T sired by Sitz Traditon RLS 02, both owned by Duncan Livestock.  23T is bred to Eye Candy and 49Z is being retained for breeding in the spring.

Rewards Program

Duncan Livestock is once again offering credit to our 2012 buyers for their show results at their respective 2013 market steer shows.

For each animal purchased at the 2012 sale, we are offering the following dollar amounts as credit to our 2013 sale on the purchase of any sale entry. The dollar amount is based on how the steer purchased at our 2012 sale places at their respective market steer show.

Grand Champion overall $250 credit.
Reserve Grand Champion overall $200 credit.
Breed Champion $150 credit.
Reserve Breed Champion $100 credit.

All credit won in 2013 must be used at the 2013 sale on September 14, 2013. Multiple credits may be combined to win and use.

In 2012, our buyers earned credit for calves purchased from us that were selected as the Grand Champion, Champion Maine-Anjou, and Champion Shorthorn at the PEI Easter Beef Show & Sale.  

In 2011, our buyers earned credit for calves purchased from us that were selected as the Grand Champion, Champion Any Other Breed, Champion Limousin, Champion Maine-Anjou, and Reserve Champion Limousin at the PEI Easter Beef Show & Sale.

Thank You Thank You Thank You!

First of all, on behalf of everyone at Duncan Livestock (Karl & Irene, Kurt, Jenn & Kinley) we would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in our fourth annual sale. Bidders and buyers came from New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

A big thank you to Blair Campbell for his help with the promotion and clipping of all of the sale cattle. Thanks also to Dixie Vickerson and Heather Dixon for helping out with our beef on a bun lunch.  Thank you to the entire Boswall family, Karrie, Grant, Ryan, Caleb, and Liam for their help with all of the miscellaneous tasks that took place during and in preparation for the sale.

Sale Day Forecast



The weather looks good for tomorrow, sunny with a high of 22 (feel like 25)   Sale pens will be outside for the first time ever.  Those attending may want to bring along a lawn chair.  Beef on a bun will be served at 1:00, first steer sells at 2:00.

A Few Sale Updates

All calves are clipped and ready for the sale on September 15th. All calves will be weighed this coming weekend and their weights will be posted by Sunday night. Expected weights are from 600 to 850 lbs.  We weighed what we believed to be the lightest and heaviest calves this week and they fit this range.

Steers will be offered for sale first.  Starting prices will be posted for the steers on Sunday night and will range from $900-$1000 each.

Steers will be in 3 separate pens and arranged from oldest to youngest with one pen of 4 and two pens of 3.

All 5 heifers will be in the same pen.

Heifers will sell second.  Starting prices for the heifers only have been posted and range from $1500 to $2500. Click the link Prospect Heifers for further details.
